In a significant project aimed at enhancing slope stability, Vedanta Aluminum Ltd collaborated with Alam Construction to address erosion issues on a critical site. The project involved the application of HDPE Geocell, a robust solution designed to provide structural support and prevent soil erosion.
The site faced severe erosion problems due to heavy rainfall and steep terrain, posing risks to the operational efficiency and safety of the facility. The challenge was to find a sustainable solution that could withstand the elements while also being cost-effective.
Utilizing our high-quality HDPE Geocell, the team implemented a system that reinforced the slopes across an area of 28,000 SQM. The geocell structure creates a cellular confinement system, allowing vegetation to establish and stabilize the soil over time, enhancing durability.
The project successfully mitigated erosion risks, resulting in a safer environment for workers and equipment. Additionally, the natural aesthetics of the landscape were preserved, aligning with Vedanta’s commitment to sustainable practices.
